Abstract

Distributed database design lifecycle is considered, design phases are described. Problem of distributed database design is formulated based on the mutual interdependency between fragmentation phases, allocation phase and query execution plan of each request. Choice and justification of effectiveness criterion in distributed database design is done. Authors consider criterion components and explore the dependence on various parameters.
