PARAMETERS CALCULATION OF OPTICAL FILTER WITH ANGULAR SELECTIVE LIGHT TRANSMISSION

Abstract

An algorithm for geometric parameters calculation of the grating optical filter with predetermined angular selective characteristic of the light transmission is developed. For sunlight filtering optimization definition methods for inclination angles of the filter gratings are developed for the windows with different azimuths of orientation to the corners of the earth for given geographic location coordinates and the estimated time of the year and day. Results application will give the possibility to achieve the optimum lighting conditions and room insolation by pre-adaptation of the filter parameters to the known beforehand trajectory of the sun relative to the
specified window and will have advantages as compared with venetian blind.
