MEASUREMENT OF STEEL MAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY UNDER CRYOGENIC CONDITIONS
Read the full article
Device for investigation of steel magnetic susceptibility at the cryogenic conditions has been designed and created in Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute (PNPI). Experimental setup gives the possibility to measure the dynamic magnetic susceptibility in a wide range of temperatures (10-300K). Different types of stainless steel were tested and results are presented in the paper. Practical aim of the measurements was to find materials for the experiment MuSun with low magnetic susceptibility.
