Abstract

A short reasoning for the research necessity in the field of telecommunication networks service quality, and
Delay-Tolerant Networks (DTNs) in particular, is given. The main differences in protocols used in traditional
networks and DTNs are described. The problem of standard protocol application in DTNs is described. The
questions to be answered in the future researches in this field to increase the DTN service quality are formulated.
