Abstract

An impact of the exciting radiation frequency on the fluorescence spectra parameters of adsorbed molecules has been investigated. Observed effects are interpreted in the belief that electronic spectra of the dye molecules within nanoporous glass undergo an inhomogeneous broadening. In some cases, the found dependences demonstrate a non-monotonic character, that’s why inhomogeneous broadening not always might be described with simple Gaussian function. It has been proved that in present case the inhomogeneous broadening appears due to potential variations of intermolecular interactions between adsorbate and adsorbent. The mentioned variations take place due to variable local curvature of the pore surface and coexistence of certain stable molecule orientations on the surface.
