The article deals with a new, alternative to plasmonics approach to optical nanoantennas development. This
approach is based on replacement of the metallic structural components of the well-known plasmon
nanoantennas by the dielectric nanoelements with a high and positive dielectric conductivity value. As a result,
nanoantennas acquire the unique properties, such as magnetic response and superdirectivity. The main types of
studied optical antennas are Yagi-Uda and superdirected nanoantennas on the base of dielectric nanoparticles.
