The article deals with a new, alternative to plasmonics approach to optical nanoantennas development. This approach is based on replacement of the metallic structural components of the well-known plasmon nanoantennas by the dielectric nanoelements with a high and positive dielectric conductivity value. As a result, nanoantennas acquire the unique properties, such as magnetic response and superdirectivity. The main types of studied optical antennas are Yagi-Uda and superdirected nanoantennas on the base of dielectric nanoparticles. Keywords: nanoantenna, quantum source, directivity.

The article deals with implementation of magnetic metamaterials in microwave frequency range tunable by means of light. Characteristics of a split-ring resonator with integrated voltage variable capacitor for frequency re-tuning, and a photodiode, for applying a DC bias, dependent on illumination are investigated. It is shown, that illumination change shifts the resonant response of the resonator up or down in frequency depending on the photodiode polarity. A system of coupled split-ring resonators is considered and system's response splitting is shown to the clear (bright) and fuzzy (dark) modes by means of light.

The article deals with formulas deduced for the infinite photonic crystal for exact definition of band-gap boundaries and width, center and edges of photonic crystal stopband with multiple optical layers lengths in twolayer cell in the frequency range from 0.1 to 1 THz. The formulas were tested by numerical simulation of photonic crystals using the transmission matrix method and method of finite-difference time-domain for the first, second and third multiplicity of optical layers lengths in two-layer cell of the photonic crystal. The formulas for the second multiplicity were experimentally confirmed.

Dynamic visual acuity is an important visual capacity indicator of individuals connected with the perception of moving objects. According to the existing patent, a device working model that contains a rotating cylinder with a table of optotypes is created. Operation and calculations of the unit are carried out by the authors’ programs. The average value of dynamic visual acuity, measured for 42 patients is equal to 25 ms. Statistical analysis in MATLAB showed that the distribution of the experimental data corresponds to the Weibull distribution law with parameters: scale A=22.029 and form B=1.527. The statistical hypothesis is confirmed by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.

Comparison of surface elements optical characteristics of the details processed by methods of usual grinding and polishing, deep grinding and polishing and by magnetorheological suspension is carried out. In the latter case it is possible to receive a detail surface with the small thickness of surface layer and deviation of the refractive index from volume value, the small mean square value of a rough surface height.
APLANATIC MENISCUS OPTICAL ENGINEERING Anastasiya Gapeeva, Anna Kovaleva, Tatiana V. Tochilina
66
Spherical surfaces, forming a stigmatic image of the object center point, are shown to be a special case of the surfaces obtained by Cartesian oval rotating; surfaces of the first and second type form the aplanatic image of the object. Image astigmatism is shown not to be dependent on the thickness of aplanatic meniscus. However, the increase of meniscus thickness causes the petsvaleva curvature decrease of the image surface and the reduction of the longitudinal meridional and sagittal astigmatism components. It is shown that at high numerical aperture, transmittance of incident light beams aplanatic surface of the first type falls sharply, thus increasing the coefficient of light polarization.

PHOTOCHEMICALLY INDUCED LUMINESCENCE POLARIZATION OF CdSe/ZnS QUANTUM RODS IN POROUS MATRIX Mukhina Maria V , Maslov Vladimir G, Baranov Alexander Vasilievich, Fedorov Anatoly V
133
Selective photochemical reaction in initially disordered ensemble of quantum rods, embedded in porous matrix, under continuous irradiation with polarized light is carried out. Photochemical reaction resulted in an appearance of photoinduced anisotropy of the nanocrystals luminescence. A specific dark process of anisotropy relaxation lasting around 10 minutes is observed. This process is presumably induced by rotational diffusion of nanocrystals in pores of the matrix. A bi-exponential time dependence of quantum rod luminescence intensity in photochemical reaction is attributed to the development of two photoinduced processes: photoinduced luminescence enhancement and photooxidation.
THE EFFECT OF FULLERENE C60 ON THE MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR OF EPOXY RESIN Dmitry Pikhurov, Zuev Vyacheslav Viktorovich
140
Fullerene C60 / epoxy polymers nanocomposites with different C60 loading (0.01-0.12 wt.%) have been prepared. Mechanical testing shows that mechanical and toughening properties of composites are greatly improved. The addition of fullerene C60 increased the modulus of elasticity and (up to 20%) and shock resistance nearly three times, but the glass transition temperature was unaffected. The measured shock resistance was also increased, from 38 to 115 kJ/m2 with the addition of 0.12wt.% of fullerene C60. The toughening mechanism has been discussed. With the dielectric spectroscopy it is shown that the destruction mechanism changes are caused by the growth of intermolecular interactions of nanoparticle - matrix and, as a result, retardation of the molecular chains mobility in the polymer matrix.
