Abstract

The work deals with the methods for the motion parameters measuring of the human locomotive system lower limbs. The main attention is given to walk cycle parameters studying. The technology of inertial motion capture is used. Experiments have been conducted on the study of human walking with the use of wireless measuring devices equipped with accelerometers. Methodology of the walk cycle parameters study is chosen and described. Also, attention is given to selecting method of measuring devices mounting places on the human body, using the experience of Turner Research and Development Child Orthopedic Institute (Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation). Movement phases configuration of the lower limbs during human walking is described, and comparison between movement phases and experimental data is shown.
